We were out on Mcity earlier this fall with two of our autonomous Ford Fusions during a snow storm to test our system in more challenging conditions and Ford has just put out some of the video from the day's testing:
Impressively enough, autonomous driving actually worked on the first try without any substantial changes from our typical demos. There's still some work to go to make sensing invariant to weather conditions, but the system worked a lot better than even we had expected.
